Many of the nearby eateries and taverns do open but, only after 4 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Moca Loca was my noon hour eatery as a result. This proved great for me as, while my daughter was at her wedding I discovered that most all of Old Hull/Gatineau shuts down on Saturday and Sunday - even the Tim Horton's in a nearby downtown shopping center (which all the stores were also closed). They stay open from morning until midnight Monday to Sunday. Mocha Loca also offers wines, beer and spirits in a small bar area. You know they are all displayed and begging to be eaten and tasted. There are wraps, sandwiches, daily soup, and of course it would not be complete without pastries/cakes/pies.
